Ireland will select Brian Kennedy's 2006 Eurovision Song Contest entry during a live show on 17th February. Irish broadcaster RTÉ revealed that to esctoday.com.
A committee chaired by former winners Brendan Graham and Shay Healy and popular singer/songwriter Paul Brady is currently selecting the final four songs. These will be performed by Brian Kennedy and voted upon by the public in a one-hour television special.
14th November last year, the Irish public broadcaster announced Brian Kennedy as the man Ireland's 2006 Eurovision Song Contest success mostly depends on. At this moment, Kennedy has big chart success in Ireland.
Ireland will take part in the semifinal of the 51st Eurovision Song Contest on 18th May.
