Christine Marchal from the EBU decided to resign after spending almost 7 years as the Eurovision Song Contest Coordinator.

She took this decision for personal reasons to have more time to take care of her family and especially her three little kids. She will not join any other organization or any other project.

Christine said that she really enjoyed working for the contest, and still likes it very much and she will completely fulfil her job for the 2002 contest. To ESCTODAY she said: “All fans and contest friends play an important role in the success of the contest”.

She hopes the work done around the contest over these past years has been positive, she says that she only keep good memories of it and will surely miss it in the future.

We wish Mrs. Marchal the vey best for the future and would like to thank her for her great assistance.
