“After the 14 songs, the first televoting window opens. After the interval act (another surprise), the first voting ends and..”.. Remember this quote from our article about Congratulations, written on 5th October? Fortunately for some, unfortunately for others, the news is out! The King of the interval acts will appear in Copenhagen as well: Riverdance!
Giving you the first detailed overview of the show was great, saving some of the information as a last-minute surprise was even more exciting! At the end, we had to leave the real scoop for someone else. Nothing to worry about, as it's all about the without doubt most succesful interval act the Eurovision Song Contest ever had. Because, what started as a seven minute interval act in the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest in Ireland, became a world hit now celebrating its 10th anniversary.
Developed into a spectacular full length show fusing Celtic and International music and dance in 1995, Riverdance has since toured the globe performing live to over 19 million people. Now in its tenth year, Riverdance currently has three touring companies, one in the Far East, one in Europe and one in North America.
Congratulations will be aired on 22nd October (Saturday) and will be hosted by Danish broadcaster DR. Esctoday.com will be present to provide you with coverage!
