Ticket sales for the Swedish national selection for the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest, Melodifestivalen 2006, went on sale today. Tickets for the final were sold out within an hour, for the semifinals there are still tickets available.
It's still possible to attend the first semifinal on 18th February in Leksand's Ejendals Arena. On 25th February, the second semifinal takes place in Karlstad's Löfbergs Lila, on 4th March in Karlskrona's
Arena Rosenholm and on 11th March in Göteborg's Scandinavium.
The final of Melodifestivalen 2006 takes place on 18th March in Stockholm's Globen Arena, the same venue as where the 2000 Eurovision Song Contest took place. As said, tickets for the final are sold out.
Due to Sweden's disappointing result in Kyiv, the 2006 representative has to enter the semifinal of the 51st Eurovision Song Contest on 18th May in Athens, Greece.
