During a press conference in Kyiv in May, host broadcaster DR already announced the orchestra would return for once. During next week's anniversary show Congratulations, a 24-member orchestra will guide the performing Eurovision Song Contest acts.
Besides the so-called Congratulations Orchestra, a choir has been formed. Linda Martin (Ireland 1992), Eimaer Quinn (Ireland 1996), Charlie Mc Gettigan (Ireland 1994) and Jakob Sveistrup (Denmark 2005) are members of the choir.
13 of the potential all-time favourites will be aired as video clips, only Helena Paparizou's My number one will be played with the orchestra. Greek broadcaster ERT said that.
Esconnet.dk also revealed no pictures of the stage will be revealed before the actual live show. It seems the Danish public broadcaster is eager to come up with some surprises during the Eurovision Song Contest's official anniversary celebration event.
Congratulations will be broadcast live in 30 countries. Australian broadcaster SBS will broadcast the event later.
