took place on 21st May in Kyiv, Ukraine, Polish national broadcaster TVP is still proud of a high sound quality provided during the transmission of the event. It was the first time TVP used special AC3 Digital technology to transmit DVD quality music during the Eurovision Song Contest.

Polish Broadcaster TVP brought a special transmission van to Kyiv, to carry out the first attempt of AC3 digital sound for the occassion of the Eurovision Song Contest. As a result, Polish audience
had a great chance to listen at the event in a digital quality, better than typical stereo audio. TVP plans to implement the latest sound system in the future, but at the moment it is not yet confirmed whether other music events will be broadcast in the same way.

The Eurovision Song Contest is still one of the most watched entertainment programmes in Poland. More than 5 milion people watched the semifinal, 4 milion saw the final due to the fact that Polish representatives Ivan & Delfin did not manage to qualify with Czarna dziewczyna.
