Belgium prepares for Junior Eurovision Song Contest

From 21st till 27th November, the Flemish city of Hasselt will be welcoming the delegations from about 20 countries participating in the 2005 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Climax of the week is the broadcast of the third edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest on 26th November, live from the Ethias Arena in Hasselt.

Hasselt and VRT looking for volunteers
To give all delegations a warm welcome in Hasselt, host broadcaster VRT is looking for enthusiastic volunteers willing to assist all kids and delegations the whole Junior Eurovision Song Contest week long. The volunteers should speak Flemish plus the language of the delegation they would like to guide around and have a good knowledge of Hasselt and Belgium. Twelve Eurokids finalists to be presented
Tomorrow, Flemish broadcaster VRT and Belgium's French speaking broadcaster RTBF present the twelve participants in Eurokids 2005, the first ever 'Belgian' Eurovision Song Contest selection, a cooperation between Belgium's two public broadcasters. The press conference takes place at the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels.

In two semifinals and a final, the Belgian representative for the 2005 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be selected. The thrid edition of the contest takes place in the Ethias Arena of Hasselt on 26th November.
