Last night, this year's Cypriot representative at the Eurovision Song Contest, Constantinos Christoforou, took part in the popular RTP 1 channel quiz 123, which is broadcast every Saturday night.

Constantinos conquered the audience in the studio by performing Ela Ela with a strong presence on stage as well as greeting the audience in a very friendly way. Some CD's were distributed as part of the promotion work that brought the Cypriot performer to Portugal, for the very first time.

Then, Constantinos spoke with your esctoday.com correspondent and confessed how happy he was to be in Lisbon, even if for a very short time. Today, early in the morning he leaves for Croatia, in order to keep on the promotion tour.

Constantinos took the opportunity to say he hopes the Portuguese audience will vote for him in the Final Contest, he also wished the best of luck to the Portuguese song in the semifinal. Meanwhile, he confessed that his favourite Portuguese songs in the Eurovision Song Contest are the ones from 1991, Lusitana Paixão performed by Dulce Pontes, and 1996 O meu coração não tem cor performed by Lúcia Moniz.

Cyprus qualifies directly for the final of the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest, to take place on 21 May in Kyiv.
