Michalis Rakintzis will represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest this year with the song 'SAGAPO'. Rakintzis wrote the song and the lyrics all by himself.

Mixalis Rakintzis is known in Greece, as he had several hits during the first half of the 90's. It is his second effort to represent Greece on the Eurovision Song Contest. The first effort was in 1989 with song 'Nana'. Mixalis has received 16 gold and platinum records in his career.

'SAGAPO' was the only entry this year in the Greek final writtencompletely in English. The song uses a trick on the lyrics with the letters S A G A P A O which means 'I love you' in Greek.
