For the occasion of the Romanian Eurovision Song Contest selections, TV host and singer Luminita Anghel teamed up with the popular percussion band Sistem. With the song Let me try Luminita Anghel & Sistem will be representing Romania in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. Esctoday.com had an interview with Toth Zoltan (Zoli), Robert Magheti (Robi), Claudiu Purcarin (The Godfather), Mihai Ciprian Rogojan (Cici) and Florin Catalin Romascu (Phlo), the five experienced percussionists of the band Sistem, and with the singer of the Romanian entry for Kiev, Luminita Anghel.
Both Sistem and Luminita are no strangers in Romania. Can you shortly introduce yourself and tell us what your main activities are?
Sistem: We are one of the most popular bands in Romania. We are professional percussionists and making show is our speciality. But please read our biographies on starmanagement.ro. It's not very easy to speak high about ourselves.
Luminita: I am very well known in Romania, both as a singer and a TV host.
Why did you participate in the Romanian national final? Was this the first time Luminita and Sistem co-operated?
Sistem: It's the first time we perform together. We have gathered only for Eurovision.
Luminita: I have asked the boys to join me for Eurovision also a few years ago. Unfortunately, back then they were six and, as you know, there are only six artists allowed on stage at the Eurovision. I couldn't give up the stage for them 🙂
