Flemish singer Dana Winner has released Sail away, the second song submitted by Chiara to Malta Song for Europe 2005. The song is written by the brothers Marc and Dirk Paelinck, who wrote Belgium's Eurovision Song Contest entries Sister in 2002 and 1 Life in 2004.

The Flemish composers Marc and Dirk Paelinck submitted the song Sail away to the Maltese national selections. Together with Angel, it was one of the two entries performed by Chiara. The Maltasong Board selected both songs for the final and thus Chiara had to perform the song that obtained the highest points in the sub-final organised on 8th January, her self-written song Angel.

The Paelinck brothers had two possibilities left: either to find an other singer to perform Sail away or withdraw the song from Malta Song for Europe 2005. Marc and Dirk Paelinck chose the latter. Nevertheless the song has already found a new destination.

Flemish singer Dana Winner, chairwoman of the professional jury in last year's Belgian national selections Eurosong 2004, has released Sail away. The song is the first single coming from a full album to be released by the end of this year. Sail away will also appear on Chiara's forthcoming album.

Dana Winner earlier released Ik zing vandaag een lied, a Dutch version of the Melodifestivalen 1995 runner-up song Det vackraste, performed by Cecilia Vennersten.
