Iceland presents entry for Kiev

During a special theme programme tonight, the Icelandic broadcaster RÚV will present its 2005 Eurovision Song Contest entry If I had your love. The show starts at 20:40 CET, an internet broadcast is scheduled.

Selma Björnsdóttir (1974) saw for Iceland's top ranking in the Eurovision Song Contest. In 1999 she finished second with the song All out of luck. This year she'll be trying it a second time.

If I had your love is written by Selma and Linda Thompson (who wrote for Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Art Garfunkel, Barbra Streisand and others), the composition is made by Thorvaldur Bjarni Thorvaldsson (who also composed All out of luck) and Vignir Snær Vigfússon (guitarist of Birgitta). The video clip, which will be aired for the first time tonight, has been produced by Gudjon Jonsson of Spark Production.
