It's no secret that the preparations for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest are going slower than previous years. It doesn't say anything about the final result, but it does keep things exciting! What about the hosts of the show, for example? Previous year, it was almost a daily job to handle all the rumours about the possible hosts, this year the gossip scene is silent…

Short in time
2005 Eurovision Song Contest executive producer Pavlo Hrytsak realises that he's short in time: “We don't have little time, we simply have not time left at all”, he said. “We are working on the problem with the show hosts. The only thing I can say about them is what I already said before: the hosts should be people that are known in Europe”, he said. Our colleagues of Eurovision2005.info published that recently.

So far, good food for those suggesting that Ruslana will host the upcoming contest… Good looks, improved language skills and well-known across Europe.

Ruslana
As previous winner of the Eurovision Song Contest, Ruslana seems a likely and excellent choice to host this year's edition. Though, hosting the show makes it difficult to perform Wild dances as introduction. Since her victory in Istanbul, she significantly improved her English language skills, but has some homework to do…

Other candidates?
So far, there is no public list with names likely to host this year's Eurovision Song Contest. Inside sources confirmed to esctoday.com that there is an internal shortlist with names, but no final selection has been made yet.

The presentation of the hosts can be expected after the Heads of Delegation meeting in Kiev, 21st and 22nd March. So far, it's all a matter of patience!
