A 23rd place… that was the last Hungarian result at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1998 with the song A holnap már ném lesz szomorú. Seven years later, Hungary seeks revenge! Tonight, Hungary will be selecting its 2005 representative in Eurovíziós Dalfesztivál.

These are the 12 Hungarian finalists:

01. Acapulco – Szép ez a világ
02. Judy – Holnaptól
03. Melodi Island – Eltûnt álom
04. Chrystal – Összetört a szívem
05. Emi Bizek – Túl az út felén
06. Karányi – Álomszép
07. Sushi Train – Húzz közel
08. Baby Gaby és Lala – Van egy kulcs
09. Rita Ambrus – Együtt
10. NOX – Forogj világ
11. Tamás Mester – Szabadítsd fel
12. Lola – Szerelem

Although no formal polls have been published, people on forums and message boards seem to favour NOX with Forogj világ, a folk song that can be compared to the music style of Urban Trad (Belgium 2003) with a slight touch of Ruslana.

A jury and televoting will select who'll represent Hungary at its Eurovision Song Contest comeback. Hungary last took part in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1998, when Charlie finished 23rd with the song A holnap már ném lesz szomorú.

Hungary will participate in the semifinal of the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest, which takes place on 19th May in Kiev, Ukraine.
