Ukraine: no visa for EU citizens

The government of the Ukraine will cancel the visa requirement for the citizens of the European Union for the time of the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest taking place in Kiev.

According to the Vice Prime Minister Anatoli Kinahh, the official statement about this matter will be released before 29th March. Before the Ukrainian officials have told the press that the visa regime might be loosened for that time but now the president of the country, Viktor Yushchenko has given orders to give the EU citizens the right not to apply for a visa at all.

The Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Kiev, the capital of the Ukraine this year.
