The fourth and last heat of Melodifestivalen 2005 took place tonight in the city of Växjö. Nanne Grönvall (pictured) and the biggest surprise in Melodifestivalen this year, debuting Caroline Wennergren qualified for the final. Katrina and the Nameless and Mathias Holmgren proceed to the second chance round and still have the possibility to reach the final.
Televoting decided the five songs that proceeded to the second voting round. After that the lines were reopened for televoting. In order to keep the excitement, the individual ranking between the first and second place are not revealed neither the ranking between the third and fourth place.

Hosts tonight were Kayo and Micke Leijnegard. The former Melodifestivalen winners and Swedish representatives the 2002 Eurovision Song Contest Afro-Dite did a special reunion in one of the interval acts.
This was the last semifinal of Melodifestivalen 2005. Tomorrow the second chance round takes place in Stockholm. The eight songs will be given another chance to qualify for final.
