During the interval act, the audience saw performances by last years Finnish Eurovision Song Contest representative Jari Sillanpää and Laura who represented Finland in 2002. The show was hosted by Heikki Paasonen, Jaana Pelkonen and Antero Mertaranta.
Geir Rönnig has a fifteen year-long music career behind him. He was born in Norway but now lives in Finland. It was his third attempt in the Finnish Eurovision Song Contest selections. In the Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix he once reached the second place. The composer of the song Why is Mika Toivanen. He also wrote last years Finnish Eurovision entry Takes 2 to tango.
Due to Finland's bad result at last year's Eurovision Song Contest, Geir Rönning will appear in the semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest on 19th May in Kiev.
