Tonight, Gülseren has won the Turkish national final. With Rimi rimi ley she will represent Turkey in the final of the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev, Ukraine. Rimi rimi ley is written and composed by Göksan Arman and Erdinç Tunç, the latter composed the Turkish songs in 1998 and 1999 as well.

During the live show Eurovision Sarki Yarismasi Seçmeleri broadcast on TRT 1 and TRT International, a jury composed of 17 people, including composers, arrangers, artists, fan club members and TRT administrators, selected Rimi rimi ley out of seven songs.

All songs were in Turkish and can be found in audio snippets in the Türkiye 2005 section of TRT's Eurovision Song Contest website by clicking here.

As part of her promotion tour and promotion for the upcoming contest in Ukraine, 2004 Eurovision Song Contest winner Ruslana performed several versions of Wild dances and Dance with the wolves during the break between the songs and the results.

Because of Athena's result at the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest, Turkey participates in the final of the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest on 21st May in Kiev, Ukraine.
