Moldovan broadcaster TVM has launched its Eurovision Song Contest website. Last Tuesday esctoday.com already informed you that the Moldovan final will be held on 26th February. TVM will internally select 12 up to 15 songs to take part in the final. The popular Moldovan group O-zone will not participate!

All information regarding the first ever Moldovan Eurovision Song Contest selections can now be found on TVM's Eurovision Song Contest website. At the moment www.trm.md/eurovision is only available in Romanian, but an English version will soon be online.

In two weeks, TVM will reveal the list of participants who subscribed for the internal selection, taking place on 6th February. TVM will then select 12 up to 15 songs to participate in the final. The popular Moldovan group O-zone will not be among the participants. As TVM informed us, O-zone will not participate due to internal problems in the group. Earlier, the news about O-zone splitting up already reached the international media.

The Moldovan final will be held on 26th February. The song to represent Moldova at the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest will be selected by a jury and public voting. As a newcomer at the contest, Moldova will take part in the semifinal on 19th May in Kiev.
