Bulgarian broadcaster BNT held a preliminary contest tonight, during which 24 participants were tested on their stage performance. A jury selected 12 of them to proceed to the national final, to be held on 12th February in Sofia.

These are the 12 singers and songs to proceed to the final:

� Vasil Naidenov, Roberta, Mariana Popova, Orlin Goranov – Az znam
� Grafa – Ako ima rai
� Slavi Trifonov & Sofi Marinova – Edinstveni
� Ustata – Vsichkite drehi me prechat
� Stoian Roianov – Taodos
� Aija – My love
� Deep Zone Project – The dance of the world
� Mania – Bitter sweet
� Kali – Molitva
� Gravity Co – What I want
� Melody – Otkri me sega

All 12 finalists will be promoted during the last two weeks before the final. Snippets of the video clips of tonight's live performances will be aired daily and will be linked to a phone number to which the Bulgarian TV viewers can cast their votes.

The final selection of the Bulgarian song for the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest will be made on 12th February when the final takes place in Sofia. During the show, broadcast live on BNT, the audience shall vote by phone or by sms for one of the 12 songs.

The selected song will represent Bulgaria in the semifinal of the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev.
