Moldova has confirmed its Eurovision Song Contest participation and will certainly be present in Kiev. Mr Samoila, marketing manager at Teleradio Moldova, told that to esctoday.com. Furthermore he added that the popular Moldovan boyband O-Zone will be invited to take part in the national Moldovan selection.
“Yes we will participate in Kiev. Our bill will increase a little bit but that is not the biggest problem.”, Moldovan broadcaster TVM reacted to esctoday.com after we asked them whether Moldova had confirmed its participation in next year's Eurovision Song Contest.
As we reported some weeks ago, TVM will invite popular singers and bands from Moldova to take part in the national selections. After many of our visitors were wondering whether O-Zone would take part, we passed the question to Teleradio Moldova's marketing manager Mr Samoila. He confirmed us that the popular boyband O-Zone is on their guest list and will thus be invited to participate.
O-Zone, the Moldovan band consisting of Dan Balan, Radu Sarbu and Arsenie Toderas scored a monster hit last summer with Dragostea din tei.
