On Thursday, Friday and Saturday Albania will be selecting its participant for the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest. Albanian broadcaster RTSH however doesn't seem very willing to supply the Eurovision fans with an official list of performers and songs.

It appears to us that Mr.Gezim Podgorica, director of the Festivali i Kenges, prefers to keep the list of participating songs secret until the moment that they will be performed. Until now, all information we have been given is that the Albanian national final will be hosted by Huejda El Sajed and Leon Menkshi. For Huejda El Sajed it will be the first time that she hosts the contest. Leon Menkshi already hosted the Festivali i Kenges twice, for the last time in 1991.

RTSH has invited Tose Proeski, Anjeza Shahini, Linda Milori and Ruslana to perform as special guests at the Albanian national selections. The Festivali i Kenges consists of semifinals on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th December. Next Satuday 18th December, the Albanian representative will be selected.
