Justine Pelmelay, who represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1989 with the song Blijf zoals je bent, has been selected for the Dutch Nationaal Songfestival 2005. With What you see is what you get she'll do a bid to representing the Netherlands at next year's Eurovision Song Contest.

Pelmelay announced her participation to our colleagues of Songfestival.web-log.nl after the recordings of the Dutch televisionshow Het gevoel van… (The feeling of…), in which the Eurovision Song Contest stood in the picture. Pelmelay will sing What you see is what you get in one of the four semifinals of the Dutch Nationaal Songfestival.

What you see is what you get has been written by Bruce R.F. Smith, who also composed Mississippi Miss (Suzy 'n' the Hi-Rollers) and On a wing and a prayer (Adriana Romeijn), two songs that reached the final of this year's Nationaal Songfestival.

Justine Pelmelay describes What you see is what you get as a funky song with a similar message as her 1989 Eurovision entry Blijf zoals je bent (Stay the way you are). At the Eurovision Song Contest in Lausanne, Pelmelay finished 15th.
