Finland: 24 song titles announced

Finnish broadcaster YLE has announced the titles and songwriters of the 24 songs that will participate in the Finnish preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2005. There is no news about the performers yet, their names will be announced on 1st December.

In total, 24 songs will compete in the Finnish national selections for the Eurovision Song Contest 2005. These are the 16 songs that have been selected out of 503 songs in an open competition:

YLE will organise 4 semi finals (14th January, 21st January, 4th February and 11th February). Six songs will take part in each semi final. TV-viewers and radio listeners will vote 3 of them to the final by televoting and SMS voting. The Finnish Eurovision final will take place in the Tampere Hall on 19th February 2005.

The 2002 Finnish representative Laura Voutilainen (Addicted to you) will be guest star in each of the semi finals as well as in the grand final. Also Frederik (Finnish national final 1981 with Titanic) and disco show group Boney N will appear every week.
