Laura Põldvere has won the talent show organized by the Estonian commercial radio station Sky Plus and will be competing for a spot in the Estonian national preselection contest Eurolaul 2005.

The final of the contest we reported about earlier was held last Saturday. A jury pointed out the 16-year-old schoolgirl Laura Põldvere as winner of the contest among 10 singers. The jury consisted of Ivar Must (composer of the winning Estonian Eurovision Song Contest 2001 entry “Everybody”), Venno Loosaar, Kirsti Timmer, Rain Kelk, Lea Blacky Liitmaa, Programme Director, Fred Krieger and Sven Lõhmus (the man behind several successful Eurolaul entries).

Sven Lõhmus is now going to compose a song for Laura Põldvere which will be sent to the organising committee of the Estonian preselection contest. The deadline for submitting songs to national broadcaster ETV is 6th December. The final of Eurolaul 2005 will be held on 5th February 2005.
