Junior: Cool Kids to sing for Denmark

The group Cool Kids has won Junior MGP 2004 with the song Pigen er min (The girl is mine). The group will represent Denmark at the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Lillehammer, Norway.

Cool Kids, in real life Caroline Thybo (11), Niki Popovic (11) and Ibrahim Chougeir (10) will represent Denmark with their song Pigen er min at the second Junior Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Lillehammer, Norway.

In a final with 10 participants selected out of more than 1600 submitted songs the group managed to qualify for the super final along with four other songs and after a close race they ended up winning the contest.

2. Cozy – Helt speciel, 52 points
3. Amalie & Frederikke – Jeg tænker på et kram, 36 points
4. G=Beat – Buster Buster, 32 points
5. Line – Stop, Stop, 22 points

The three members of the group are from Århus. They all love hip-hop music and two of them (Niki and Caroline) have actually been dating for the past 3½ years. Niki has written the lyrics on his own while the whole group has composed the music together.

During the show there were several interval acts. Among others: Co-host Christine Milton, The Olsen Brothers and Emma Bunton all performed in front of the cheering crowd.
