Eurovision Song Contest supervisor Svante Stockselius and a team of the European Broadcasting Union are currently visiting the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest host city Kiev. The exact dates for the 50th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest will be revealed on 15th September.

By 1st August, the European Broadcasting Union and Ukrainian broadcaster NTCU will have signed an agreement about the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in Kiev. The agreement will contain all requirements for hosting the 50th edition of the contest.

More than a month later, on 15th September, the final project of the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest will be presented. At that time the dates of the semifinal and the final will be announced.

The final decision on the location has been postponed as well. Two weeks ago esctoday.com reported that the venue, which will be constructed at the International Expo Centre, was said to be finished in June 2005. The final decision will be announced at the supervisory meeting on 2nd and 3rd September.
