The winner of the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2004, Ruslana, has been appointed to the position of the advisor on social matters of the Ukrainian Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister Viktor Janukovich met Ruslana today and discussed the matters of organising the contest in the Ukraine and named her to become his new counsellor on social matters.

Janukovich also gave her a small statue featuring a Cossack representing 'the dignity of the Ukraine' and a tagged watch to 'tick great times' in Ruslana's life. She assured the journalists that she will not go into politics, though, and sees her future only in the world of music.
