Ranking 21st amongst 24 participance did not led Austrian participants to rethink their performance. “We gave everything and we are satisfied with our performance”, singer Thomas Elzenbauer said to news agency APA. Elzenbauer called the winning song “not exactly high class, musically”, adding that the show has won.
“This is not Eurovision anymore, this is BalkanVision”, Elzenbauer said. “Unfortunately, our own neighbours do not stick together as much as the Balkan countries do.” Jokingly, he added: “Maybe we could divide Austria into nine provinces, so that they could give us points.” Last year's Austrian participant Alf Poier again called the show a “Waterloo” and advised Tie-Break to “sue their choreographer”.
