Smashing time for Ukraine, stage damaged!

by Gordon Roxburgh 50 views

During the very energetic performance by the Ukrainian artist, Ruslana, the glass floor on which the artists perform on was damaged, and it was a case of send for the cleaners as the smashed glass was vacuumed and swept up. As a consequence their final run through was cancelled.

It was in a way fortunate for the organisers, that this “accident” occured during the final rehearsals of the day, as there will have to be a repair job done overnight! It must also raise a few questions as to what would happen if this was repeated on the live transmission of the qualifying round.

The Ukrainian performance in rehearsals has included items like whips, and is visually quite spectacular, but whether the Wild dances of Ruslana will have to be tamed reamins to be seen!
