David D'or has shot a television commercial for an Israeli cellular company in Istanbul last week, which is already being broadcasted on Israeli television. Meanwhile, the stage act for Istanbul is still under consideration.

In the commercial, David and other “Eurovision entrants” are celebrating in front of the blue mosque in Istanbul, waving their flags with the Eurovision famous theme, Te Deum, in the sound track. David D'or then rings his mother with his cellphone telling her about his time during Eurovision week in the city… Follow the link on the left column for a picture taken from the commercial.

Meanwhile, according to various newspapers, David D'or and his team are still contemplating about the stage act to be performed in Istanbul. One suggestion is to also interpret the song with the deaf signs language. Another proposal is to be joined on stage by two dancers, who are hanged from the ceiling, just as David performed last Monday on Miss Israel's pageant. Being drawn to perform 5th at May 12th qualifying round, David D'or's PR manager commented they were pleased to be singing at that position, 'since 5 is considered to be a lucky number in jewish tradition'. Israel performed 5th in the 2001 Eurovision Song Contest, finishing then at number 16.
