During a live transmission over the Eurovision network, the running order for the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest was drawn. Meltem Cumbul and Korhan Abay, hosts of the contest, introduced themselves to the press and executed the draw together. Eurovision Song Contest supervisor Svante Stockselius represented the European Broadcasting Union.

Eurovision Song Contest 2004 final – 15th May
Spain has the honour to open the final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 15th May. With Sweden, the show will be ended. This is the running order for the final:
