From today on, 2 minutes of the new French entry for the Eurovision Song Contest are available for listening on eurovisionfrance.com. The lyrics of A chaque pas have been written by Jonatan Cerrada himself.
The new French song for the Eurovision Song Contest by Belgian singer Jonatan Cerrada can be heard here from today on. The music has been written by Ben “Jammin” Robbins and Steve Balsamo. Jonatan Cerrada wrote the lyrics himself! The last words are in Spanish, as a reminder of his origins.
On Monday 22nd March, France 3 will broadcast Symphonic Show – spécial Eurovision. During this show Jonatan Cerrada will present his song A chaque pas live to the French audience. The show will feature some Eurovision veterans as well: Marie Myriam (the last French winner at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1977), Joëlle Ursull, Plastic Bertrand, Séverine, Natasha St-Pier and Brotherhood Of Man.
The French Eurovision entry A chaque pas was recorded last week and is about to be sent to French radio stations for promotion. The CD single will be commercially released on 29th March, with an English version of the song as second track. Jonatan's first full album Siempre 23 is planned to be rereleased at the end of April. It will include two new tracks and a DVD section.
As one of the Big Four, France is qualified for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 15th May in Istanbul.
