Eearlier tonight, the jury of the Flemish 2004 Eurovision Song Contest selection Eurosong 2004 gave Xandee the maximum points. After Sertab Erener announced the televoting results, it became clear the she is also the televoters' favorite!

Xandee, whose real name is Sandy Boets, started her career as teenager together with Sergio in the dance groupe Touch of Joy. Both Sergio and Xandee went solo but didn�t reach the success they had before. Last year they decided to reunite again as Touch of Joy.

Xandee's Eurovision song 1 Life is written by Dirk and Marc Paelinck, who also wrote the Belgian song for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2002, Sister, performed by Sergio.

During the break between the songs and the outcoming, it was possible to chat with all participants on the official Eurosong 2004 website.

In the second part of the show the results were announced. Sertab Erener, winner of the Eurovision Song Contest last year, sang Everyway that I can and her new single I believe. She also announced the televoters' points!

Xandee got the maximum points from the Radio 2 jury and the international jury. Radio Donna ranked her as third. Sertab Erener finally announced the TV1 televoters' points, with a maximum for Xandee, making her the winner of Eurosong 2004. Besides Xandee also won the press price. Barbara Dex & Alides ended up third, Natalia second.

Sertab Erener gave Xandee some advices for her trip to Istanbul: “Don't be afraid for anything, enjoy it!”.
