Andorran semifinal held

by Oliver Rau 135 views

Either Marta Roure or girl duo Bis a Bis (pictured) are going to be first Andorran representative at the Eurovision Song Contest. Both acts made it to the last stage of 12 punts, the Andorran preselection format, being elected from a field of 9 finalists on December 20.

Both televoting public and jury opted for the ladies, interestingly enough two of the three established Andorran acts in the semifinal. None of the six nonprofessional singers made it.

Beginning January 18th to March 14th, TV Andorra (TVA) and Spanish broadcaster TV-3 Cataluña, serving the Catalan region, are going to air 12 songs chosen through TVA, sung by the two finalists. The final decision will be made on March 14, in a show held in Auditori Nacional d'Andorra in Ordino, using again a mix of jury vote and televoting.
