The eighth episode of Operação Triunfo was aired yesterday instead of Sunday due to a Euro Cup 2004 programme. Receiving only 45.9% of the votes meant Aline's departure, whereas Rita's 54,1% saved her neck.

The viewers' pets this time were Pedro, Sofia and Francisco, but – as the rules bid – Francisco, having scored the most votes, was not judged by the jury.
Dino, Pedro, Sofia and Rita were all on the verge of expulsion from the academy, but Sofia's guardian angels were the teachers, who saved her from flying out of the academy head first, and Pedro was saved by his colleagues. Next Sunday we will know who is going to leave the academy: Dino or Rita.
