Dingflofbips Festival in The Netherlands

No Eurovision final in The Netherlands this year, but broadcaster NCRV organised the Dingflofbips Festival !

“Because there is no European anthem, all countries who will change their national currency into the euro, can send in a song in Dutch. If you are from the Netherlands, you can participate”, the NCRV wrote.

Dingflofbips stands for the 12 euro-countries (spelled in Dutch). Each first letter of the countryname makes the word 'dingflofbips'.

The goal of this contest is to enlarge the European feeling, just like with the Eurovision Song Contest ! A very creative solution from The Netherlands, where they also organised a song contest in 1995 when they were passive participants.
