On Saturday, 7th February, Denmark will select its Eurovision Song Contest entry for Istanbul during Melodi Grand Prix 2004. The national final will take place in Aarhus on the Danish mainland.

Sport accomodation Atletion has been selected leaving Aalborg, Herning and Odense behind as candidate host cities. Capital city Copenhagen was not on the favorite's list of broadcaster DR, which might be a logical step because it's already the host city of the first Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in November.

The deadline to submit songs for the Danish final is 3rd November, 13:00. After a passive year, Denmark has to win the qualifier round of the Eurovision Song Contest to enter the final.

The Danish national final will take place at the same day as the Estonian national final.
