Spain: Blas Cantó takes Madrid by storm at a Breast Cancer Charitable Concert

The 2020 Spanish Eurovision hopeful, Blas Cantó, took  Spain by storm this weekend when he graced the stage at a special Breast Cancer Charitable concert Cadena 100 Por Ellas ,where he mesmerised the thousands of fans with one of his latest hits ‘El no soy yo’.

Last weeked saw Madrid’s WiZink Center play host to the annual Cadena 100 Por Ellas charitable concert where many  Spanish and international acts graced the stage: Soraya (Spain 2009), Blas Canto (Spain 2020), NEK, James Blunt, Melendi, etc,

Spanish radio channel Cadena 100 co-hosted the show with Asociación Española contra el Cáncer (AECC).

Cadena 100 Por Ellas is a special charitable concert which raises awareness for Breast Cancer and its proceeds go to the Spanish Breast Cancer Association for further investigation, finding a cure and offering medical care aid. The show was broadcast on Spanish private channel Divinity.

The upcoming Spanish Eurovision hopeful Blas Canto graced the stage for the second consecutive year and set the audience into a frenzy with his mega hit El no soy yo, making them sing a long to the song.

Blas was overhelmed with the audience’s response and reaction that he commented:

I am really happy to be back on the Cadena 100 stage and I would like to tell you that I have really missed you all. Welcome to the show! If the same thing like tonight happens next year in Rotterdam it will be really great and incredible!

About Blas Cantó

Blas Cantó is no new face in the Eurovision world as he has tried to represent Spain both at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2004 and at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2011 as part of the boyband Auryn.

Blas was selected via an internal selection by TVE in order to defend the Spanish colours at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam.

It has been a long lasting dream for Blas to defend the Spanish colours at the Eurovision Song Contest. In 2011 hea nearly accomplished his dream when Auryn came 2nd at the Spanish national final.

The 27 year artist is amongst the most sought after singers in Spain today having gained much name, fame and recognition amongst the younger audience. He has released 5 albums so far ( 4 with Auryn and 1 solo). He released his debut album Complicado last year, with one of its songs  ‘El No Soy Yo’ becoming a massive hit in Spain.
