The 2011 Dutch representatives 3JS have released the videoclip of De Stroom, one of the songs that competed at the 2011 Eurovison Dutch national final. 3JS represented the Netherlands at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Dusseldorf with the song Never Alone. They competed in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest Semi final 2 and placed 19th, thus coming last among 19 countries.

Jaap Kwakman, Jan Dulles and Jaap de Witte have been performing under the name 3Js since 2002. In 2007, their debut album Watermensen was released. It reached number six on the Dutch charts and was eventually certified gold. Six singles were released off the album including the top ten hits Net alsof, Watermensen and Wiegelied. At the same time a TV show about the band – entitled 3JS komen eraan – on local television in North Holland was aired. A second album followed in 2008 and it managed to double the success of the first one being certified gold as well. In 2010, their first top three album Dromers and dwazen was released. One of the singles released was Wat is dromen, a duet with Ellen ten Damme (one of the contestants in the German national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2005) and it became the band's first number one hit.

In 2010, 3JS were chosen internally to represent the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Düsseldorf. In a national final, they performed six songs and the winning song was Je vecht nooit alleen, written by the band members themselves. In Düsseldorf, they performed the English version of the song called Never alone. Meanwhile, the original recording became the band's ninth top ten hit and second number one hit on homeground.
