Sweden: Eric Saade number 1 in Denmark!

Eric Saade who represented Sweden at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Dusseldorf with the song Popular achieving an honourable 3rd placing, Sweden's best placing since Charlotte Nilsson's victory in 1999. Eric has achieved the number 1 position at the Danish Chartbase charts, thus placing the former number 1 A friend in London to the number 2 slot. Other Eurovision 2011 artists are also charting on the Danish charts.

British boyband Blue are charting on the number 12 slot currently, whilst winners Ell and Nikki from Azerbaijan are charting 16th. Jedward are at the 27th slot and last year's winner Lena charts with Taken bya stranger at number 36. Bosnian well known artist Dino Merlin is also charting at number 86 with his Eurovision entry Love in Rewind.

Eurovision songs sure seem to be popular in Denmark this year as 7 of the competing entries are charting in the national charts. Many of the 2011 Eurovision artists are enjoying success in the European charts after their Eurovision experience in Dusseldorf. Jedward is currently enjoying the number 1 position on the Irish charts.
