The Lord Mayor of Dusseldorf Dirk Elbers will be hosting the Official Eurovision Welcome Reception for the 43 participating delegations at the Dusseldorf Tonehalle. The mayor of Dusseldorf and Jon Ola Sand, the Executive supervisior of the Eurovision Song Contest will welcome everyone tonight.

The Dusseldorf Tonehalle one of Dusseldorf's most well known landmarks was a former planetarium which now has been converted into a concert hall. A red carpet has been erected outside the Tonehalle where press and media will get a chance to interview and photograph all the competing artists along with their delegations.

The city of Dusseldorf has dressed up specially for the occasion. Eurovision fever has caught up with its inhabitants whilst everything is prepared to host Europe's favourite television show. The Germans have been pampering delegations, artists, accredited press and fans to the best of German hospitality.
