Belgium: Eliot Vassamillet releases his Eurovision entry ‘Wake up’

Belgian representative Eliot Vassamillet has officially revealed the song that he will perform at Eurovision 2019: Wake up.

The Belgian entry for the ESC 2019 in Israel was unveiled in the morning on radio station MNM.be. Eliot is set to sing Wake up for Belgium. The song is released by Sony Music Belgium and was written by Pierre Dumoulin to fit the young singer’s style and voice.

Wake up is a haunting mid-tempo tune with electropop influences.

Eliot Vassamillet (Mons, Dutch: Bergen, 2000) hails from the province Hainaut (Henegouwen) and became known to the larger public when he participated in the 2018 edition of the popular talent show The Voice Belgique, the Walloon (French-Belgian) version of The Voice-franchise.

Eliot will perform Wake up in the second half of semi-final 1 on Tuesday 14 May 2019.
