2011 and 2010 Polish representatives in the Eurovision Song Contest, Magdalena Tul and Marcin Mrozinski, were the main stars of the Eurovision Party held in Lodz, central Poland, last weekend. However, the audience applauded not only their Eurovision entries.
Marcin’s surprises were last year’s Romanian song Playing with fire performed with Weronika Bochat (JESC 2004, ESC 2010) and his new proposal Before you say. The three songs by Magdalena were Jestem, Single ladies coming from her album released in 2005 and a track from Beyonce.
The audience danced the whole night to Eurovision hits and watched the most funny moments in the history of the contest. The karaoke competition was also organized with Magdalena, Weronika, Marcin and Patryk Smolarek (The winner of 2006 OGAE Home Composed Song Contest) as members of the jury.
The idea of Eurovision parties was launched last year by Marcin Mrozinski in order to gather supporters before the contest. OGAE Poland was the partner of the event.
Magdalena and Marcin were also guests at the programme 'Kuturalni.pl' on TVP Polonia (International channel of public broadcaster), together with Evelina Saszenko, representing Lithuania in this year's contest. The artists shared their experiences before going to the contest proving that Eurovision is not onlya competition, but also great fun. The show will be on air on April 30th.
