The singer achieved a respectful 4th place, additionally the country’s best placing in the Eurovision to date.
Hungary has placed in the top 10 of the Eurovision Grand Final six times since its debut: 4th (1994), 9th (2007), 10th (2013), 5th (2014) and 8th (2017).
In 2018 Hungary selected its Eurovision act and entry via its traditional national selection A Dal. Rock band AWS won the ticket to Lisbon with their entry Viszlat nyar. They achieved a 21st place with 93 points in the Grand Final in Lisbon, Portugal.
