France is the number one favourite country to win this year's Eurovision Song Contest. One of the world's youngest tenors, Amaury Vassilli, will represent the French nation in Dusseldorf with a pop-opera song written in the Corsican dialect. Unlike the past years, the French media fully supports their own Eurovision representative as Amaury received positive critics.

As esctoday.com previously reported, France is considered the number one favourite country to win this year's Eurovision Song Contest. According to the bookmakers at William Hill, the odds for Amaury to win the contest in Dusseldorf are 5/1 and he is closely followed by Estonia with 6/1 and Norway with 10/1.

For the first time since Patricia Kaas' participation at Europe's favourite TV show, the French media supports their own representative. One of the world's youngest tenor, Amaury Vassilii, received positive feedback and criticism from the most important French newspapers and blogs. Vassilli will perform a pop-opera song written in the Corsican dialect. This will be the second time when such a song will be performed on the Eurovision stage.

Amaury will attend the French version of the world famous show Extreme Makeover (Tous ensemble) on TF1 this month.
