Shiri Maymon, who won the 2005 Kdam-Eurovision and achieved the 4th place in the Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, will co-host the upcoming Israeli national final. It was also reported today, that Vladi Bleiberg had to withdraw from the contest due to personal circumstances.

Shiri Maymon will return to the Kdam-Eurovision stage in 2011, this time as hostess, side by side with actor and TV presenter Aki Avni, who already presented the 1995 national final.

It was also revealed yesterday that Vladi Bleiberg, one of the highly tipped candidates to win the contest, has decided to cancel his participation in this year's national final – Bleiberg flew today to the Ukraine, in orderto take care of his ill father, who's state of health has deteriorated in recent days. "My family's health always comes first. I had to stop all the preparations and fly to be with my father. My Eurovision dream will have to wait another year", said Bleiberg to Mako.co.il.

The 2011 Kdam-Eurovision will be held on March 8th, in the coastal city of Rishon le'Tzion. The winner will have to win the public's votes and the juries trust, which one of the will consist only of OGAE Israel members. Preparations to the contest are in full steam ahead. Tomorrow IBA will air the first episode in aseries,paying tribute to Kdam contests. Kdam-Eurovision's promo was shot last night with the competing artists.
