Malta: Ira Losco features alongside Jason Derulo in FIFA World Cup 2018 anthem

The FIFA World Cup 2018 anthem was released earlier this year with American singer-songwriter Jason Derulo, but now the official Coca-Cola promotional song has been released together with Maltese singer and Eurovision 2016 participant, Ira Losco.

Today saw the kick off of the FIFA World Cup in Russia, with the home nation competing against the team of Saudi Arabia, with the host country winning the match 5-0.

To get into the spirit of the highly anticipated event, Coca-Cola unveiled their official promotional anthem, Colors, together with the singer Jason Derulo, with the song focussing on uniting people from across the globe to celebrate the event. Nationalities and flags are the 2 major themes of the song!

Now, Ira Losco has unveiled her collaboration with the singer and the Colors-hit, with the Maltese artist singing in the streets of Valletta in order to produce her sections of the song, with M’Xlokk and Golden Bay appearing as backdrops in the music video.

Ira Losco’s feature was mixed by Howard Keith at Jagged House Studios, whilst Matthew Muscat Drago filmed the Maltese singer’s clips for the music video.

As part of the campaign, Losco included a message in Maltese with English subtitles, featuring in a global campaign with multiple international artists and Coca-Cola ambassadors, which Losco fitting into both categories. The Maltese singer’s message is:

Let’s not live in monochrome, Let’s all live in a multitude of Colours. It makes the world such an unbelievable place!

Second World Cup single for Losco

Back in 2014, Lisco featured in the Coca-Cola World Cup promotional anthems alongside the X Factor USA star, David Correy, with the singer remaining an ambassador for the brand ever since. Speaking of her latest project, Losco said:

I’m extremely excited and proud of this experience. I love collaborating with different artists. Music should be about sharing experiences and communicating. I think during times like these where the world needs to stop and listen to those urging the wonder of unity and diversity, a song like ‘Colors’ really does celebrate the multi-cultural identity of the world we live in.

Anniversary album coming this month

This year highlights Losco’s 15 year career within the world of music, with the singer celebrating her newest achievement with the release of her double album, No sinner no saint.

The album will include 2 CDs, entitled No sinner and No saint, in which a total of 12 tracks will feature on each CD.

The album is set to trip next week on Thursday 21 June and will also be available to download and stream digitally.
