Ukraine : National final on February 26th

Although it was reported that Ukraine's national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 will be held on February 27th, NTU, the official broadcaster of the Eastern European country, have revealed that the Ukrainian representative for this year's European favourite music competition will be selected on February 26th.

Although it was reported that the Ukrainian national final will take place on February 27th, NTU have announced that the date was changed to February 26th. Eighteen acts will fight for the honour of representing their homeland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011. Fifteen artists have qualified by jury's choice from the three semi finals of the competition, while another three acts which are yet to be announced on February 10th, have qualified via televoting.

Ukraine is one of the most succesful countries in the recent history of the Eurovision Song Contest. Since their debut took place back in 2003, they have managed to score one victory (2004, Ruslana – Wild Dances)and four top 10 placings (2006, 2007, 2008, 2010).
