Exclusive: Thea & Marcin to sing in the Maltese selection

by Edward Montebello 45 views

Thea Garrett and Marcin Mrozinski will perform together in the Maltese national selection. For the first time in the country's Eurovision Song Contest history, a Maltese representative has recorded an original duet with another country's representative. Esctoday.com has learnt that this new song, entitled In Our Love , penned by Jason Cassar and Sunny Aquilina, will be performed for the first time this Friday.

The song which the duo recorded together during Marcin’s latest visit to Malta is set to continue the strong singing collaboration the pair kicked-off whilst in Oslo during last May’s Eurovision Song Contest. Marcin Mrozinski will be one of the special guests in this year’s Malta Eurovision Festival and is expected to arrive in Malta on Tuesday with both artists scheduled to rehearse their performances on stage at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, Valletta that same day.

Last year’s Maltese Eurovision ambassador has also been keeping herself busy working on other new material and is expected to be performing her new single Frontline on Friday too. This song, which is said to be a completely different style from what we would normally associate the singer with, was written by John Galea and Dean Muscat, sources close to esctoday.com have said.

Thea Garrett shot to fame last year after winning the Malta final with her song My Dream and will be opening the show this Friday with the winning act.
